This is only one of the Wonders of the Ancient World, which still stands today. However, if you come to Egypt to enjoy the wonder of ancient architecture, you happen to see it in the form in which it was conceived. All the pyramids were built of special blocks of stone, and covered the top of their polished slabs of limestone. These pyramids were to shine in the rays of the hot African sun. Unfortunately, in 1300, the earthquake polished tiles crumbling, and she was taken and used for the construction of mosques. The obelisk was built as a marker that points to the place of burial.
